Nirmiti (Nini) Pandit is a graduate researcher focused on advancing social and spatial equity through collaborative, community-based approaches. Her interdisciplinary practice spans educational leadership, public health efficacy, and systems thinking/design in architecture and urban planning. Her ongoing thesis explores community-led emergency planning, specifically how spatial mapping, local knowledge systems and participatory design can support more equitable planning and response frameworks.
Based between Buffalo, NY, and Mumbai, MH, Nini centers community agency through place-based strategies that address systemic and environmental challenges. She uses She/Them pronouns and welcomes opportunities to connect across disciplines in support of inclusive, locally grounded co-production of knowledge.
